Mail 101

Let DAS show you the best ways to save money in your metered mail. With the U.S. Postal Service recent rate increase came a new system of charging for mail called the “Shape Based Rating System.”  Letters and packages are not only going to be charged by weight, but also by size and shape.  For example, stuffing too many tri-folded sheets into a #10 envelope will actually cost more than stuffing bi-fold sheets into a slightly larger envelope. Detailed information can be found with the U.S. Post Office’s Notice 123, Ratefold at: http://pe.usps.com/cpim/ftp/notices/not123/not123.pdf
